Brief: When you're the only organization taking care of unwanted pets in a college town, you've got an important story to tell. There are hundreds of animal rescue agencies at the local and state level, but none that do this specific type of work, so the story we told is about using a research based care strategy to manage feral cat colonies which not only helps the community, but the animals themselves.
After learning about the benefits of establishing a feral cat colony program across the entire county, instead of trying to capture and adopt or eradicate the animals, we got to work positioning TSNIP as a local help squad.
The logo was created out of the houndstooth pattern, which is a hat tip to the local university branding. We used different colors and fonts to make sure the mark would stand out among a sea of crimson, the color commonly used for many branding initiatives in Tuscaloosa.
