Role: Account Management, Strategy, Creative Direction, Voice Actor
Brief: Each year holiday cards, both print and digital, are sent to clients, donors, potential students, and alumni of The University of Alabama. Each year, we sit down with our clients and our creative team to come up with new and creative ways to say Happy Holidays.
This project was always an exciting time to get our interns involved and really bring our collective best to the effort. The professional staff understood how importnat it was to help students build their professional protfolio. THis goes beyond what the students do as classroom assignments and focuses on production art that gets published and distributed as part of a larger camapign.
The University of Alabama auidence was broad, as were the individual cultures and religious affiliations around campus. With this in mind we focused the card on multi-national themes that could be used in a multitude of cultural celebrations. We achieved this by zeroing in on architectural elements of the campus as well as the winter season, rather than Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Bodhi, Ashura, etc. The students were responsible for the researching past cards, including vintage designs that were cataloged in the UA library system. Clients: UA Provost's Office,UA College of Arts & Sciences,UA Center for Instructional Technology, UA Alumni Association
